Med passion i olika projekt, det är lustfyllt!

Projekt och passioner kommer och går!
Digitaliseringen har skapat möjligheter som har förändrat vårt sätt att se på arbete, projekt och vad vi brinner för. Det är mycket enklare att byta ”kanal”/intresse eftersom möjligheterna ökat med teknikens hjälp. Att flytta till arbetet är inte alltid nödvändigt längre. Att vara med andra är inte samma sak som att nödvändigtvis sitta vid samma bord.

Vilken passion har du?
Sättet vi ser på våra liv är inte heller en process av skola, universitet och skaffa sig jobbet som man har under lång tid framöver. Man ser livet mer som en rad av olika saker man brinner för just nu. Vilken passionen du och jag har just nu och inte nödvändigtvis för hela livet nu och framåt? Det är trend där man kanske inte söker den stora meningen och passionen i livet. För om man inte hittar sin passion, har man inget liv som är värdefullt då? Allt fler frågar sig snarare vilken är passionen jag har just nu?

Vi har snarare en passion för projektet eller det man är i just nu. Det är samma sak som att ha ett mål men bryta ner det i delmål. Annars kanske man aldrig får uppleva glädjen av att lyckas, att komma i mål?

Vilket projekt är du engagerad i?
Fler och fler engagerar sig i projekt som är mest intressanta just nu. Synen på ”fast anställning” är inte lika viktig. Ett jobb och arbete ses snarare som ett projekt man gör just nu. Att vara och blir anställd för lång tid, för trygghetens skull. Det kanske är och var en synsätt som den äldre generationen hade?

Flexibiliteten att jobba på distans och jobba tillsammans?
Digitaliseringen och tekniken gör det möjligt att jobba där det bäst passar var och en, just nu. Inte alla uppgifter är så men många uppgifter/arbeten/projekt kan och kommer utvecklas åt det hållet. Styrkan hos svenska bolag är att vi tidigt automatiserade tillverkning. Det gör att det krävas mindre och mindre personal på samma plats. Utvecklingen är dessutom redan här att merparten av alla företag är tjänsteorienterade. Det ökar möjligheten till flexibilitet att jobba där det passar oss. En möjlighet och också en utmaning eftersom vi som människor behöver träffas och se varandra. I grunden trivs vi i att vara tillsammans.

Utmaningen för verksamheter
Hur möter vi då utvecklingen rent verksamhetsmässigt och hur vi organiserar oss utifrån
– Digitaliseringens förändringskrafter
– Passionen i mitt liv just nu vs tanken att vi har en enda passion i livet?
– Passionen för projektet vs ”arbete många år på samma ställe”?
– Jobba där det passar tacka vare flexibiliteten i tekniken?

Nya former av arbetssätt, passioner och projekt sätter nya utmaningar för verksamheter.
Vi kan inte längre se oss som ”chef över någon”. Det ersätts med att förtjäna ledarskap. De som känner sig delaktiga och vill dela din passion/projekt är med, så länge de känner att det betyder något för dom.

Vi behöver bli ännu bättre på att ta varandras perspektiv för att förstå vilka drivkrafter vi har, var och en och tillsammans.

Har vi en samlad och överenskommen passion för samma sak?
Om ja, så vill vi, känner oss delaktiga. Vi delar samma passion för uppdraget/projektet just nu. När vi:
– vill
– förstår
– känner att vi kan
– känner oss bekräftade och har tillit
Då vill vi och tar vårt personliga ansvar fullt ut. Då upplever vi det lustfyllt och vi vill vara med och prestera.

Resultatorienterad fokus är ersatt av prestationsorienterat fokus. Ett fokus som dessutom kommer skapa ännu bättre resultat och värde. Inte för att vi jagar resultatet utanför att vi känner lust i prestationen.

Den goda rätten består av: PASSION, SÅRBARHET, ENGAGEMANG OCH TILLIT – allt detta som skapar kul på jobbet, som får oss att må bra, lönsamhet, kreativitet och andra värdefulla värden! Recept har några givna ingredienser som skapar den goda rätten och hållbarhet över tid Det blir garanterat lyckat. Det går inte ens att misslyckas!

1. Ta ett mått
Jag leder mig själv bra
När vi upplever och uppfattar att vi leder oss själva bra, så skapas förutsättningen för att hjälpa andra, om dom vill! Leder jag mig själv bra? med god självinsikt och självförtroende.

2. Addera med
Gruppen är snäll med varann
En grupp blir så bra som var och en uppfattar att de kommer till tals och att det finns en stor portion av empati! Finns forskning som har kommit fram till det. Bäst blir det mao när man är SNÄLL med varandra. Skapar kul, må bra, produktivitet och lönsamhet. Vem vill inte ha det?

3. Tillsätt insikten
Insikten att vi alla är O-perfekta! När vi sen vågar visa och säga det till varann, så blir vi mer mänskliga för oss själva och varann. Ingen är ju perfekt, men vi vill alla vara det. Rädslan att inte räcka till eller inte vara gillad är många gånger väldigt stor. Vem är perfekt? Ingen!

4. Ta bort skummet så ser du
Jag vågar visa mig sårbar, både som person och i mitt ledarskap. Modet att våga vara sårbar är dessutom direkt kopplat till att du är den som först GER, först säger JAG GILLAR dig, först VÅGAR SATSA helhjärtat etc. Dessutom UTAN att veta om det funkar eller om du får tillbaka. Därför att du vågar vara dig själv! Det är ett ledarskap som skapar tillit mellan varann och till dig själv. Frågar du först vad får jag eller först är den som GER, utan att veta?

5. Att ihop blandat skapar rätten
Passion och engagemang skapas utifrån ovan. Å då blir det helt omöjligt att inte lyckas. Vill du/ni lyckas?

The drive and flow in the organisation
You will recognize it when you have it but it is hard to get.
It depends on if people want to do it! Maybe you have it right now or have been in situations where nothing could stop you.
It is those moments when everyone in the organisation have the same spirit of heart and are agreed upon a common mission, to do it and go forward together.
It is like a fusion of enthusiasm from everyone that takes you forward.
It builds, inspires and creates towards the visions and goals.

But what is it really?
It is there when people feel it in their hearts and say comments like;
”I did´t sign up for the money. It was the vision, the persons in the company and the culture that made me sign up.”

We often pay to employ or hire people to be a part of our team and organisations. We talk about salaries, bonuses and other ways to make them come to us. What we really want is not a job just to be done. What we really want is also that they contribute with enthusiasm, creativity, loyalty from the bottom of their hearts. And we also know, that ”the spirit” cannot be paid for.

You have to earn it!


It is the other way around. It is not something you can pay someone to deliver. 
It is we who have to earn the trust, build the culture and environment that attracts the people we really would like to work with.
When you have it the energy flows, ju give just for the joy of giving and because we want to do it together.

When we all share the same values it creates our culture. When we all see the same star we are aiming for, the vision gets crystal clear. The giving for the joy of giving makes us stronger together and develops us. Thats´ why! And you cannot pay to get it. It has to be earned!

69 and 156, that´s a lot!
Nearly thirty years ago there was a book written called the Alchemist. It didn´t sell to much in the beginning. But then something happened. Now it has been translated in 69 languages and has been sold for over 156 million copies!
The story is about a shepard called Santiago, who dreams about a treasure at the foot of the Pyramides in Egypt. He gets the advice to follow his dream, to go looking for the treasure. His journey is followed with obstacles and adversities.
During his journey he meets the Alchemist. The Alchemist knows about the treasure and how to find it. He has found ”the stone of wisdom”. The Alchemist can also turn lead into gold. He makes Santiago his Disciple. The Alchemist teaches him and tells him about ”the World Soul”. ”The World Soul” is passion and love.

All these choices!
 All this information that is like a flood of information, streaming 24 hours a day. Sometimes we feel that there are too many choices. So many that we cannot choose. But is that really the truth? What if there is just one choice every second, an active choice that starts a process of real life. Hesitating choices, is not real.

Clear vision/dream

What if we focus of to much of the information? That is maybe the truth when our dreams and vision of what we want is not clear? When the dream and vision is clear the right informations pops up in our focus. All other data diminishes because it is irrelevant of what you want and feel. So are all information they really a choice in your world?It is easy to get stressed with a lot of information streaming, beaming all day long. If we are afraid to miss something, we will feel stressed. But if you know deep inside what you want, the choices you have too choose among will be more clear.

Opportunities

Another way to look at it is that we could say YES or NO to opportunities. Opportunities we feel seem right for us but still we wait and hesitate. Often with the answer. Maybe it is the wrong choice. In fact we cannot answer if it is the wrong or right choice until we have chosen. Until then it is just fantasy in our brains of a reality that may be true.

Grasp it, Take it, do it

Before christmas I was guiding our partner and friends from SouthKorea. We had a guided tour in Uppsala. A town with the mixture of Science, Innovation and the Center of Church. My youngest son Filip called me. He had finished school for the day. He knew that I was with my Korean friends. ”Join us”, I sad. He said, ”Absolutely, I am coming”.
He choose an opportunity that he did n´t know it it was good or bad. But he took and active choice, not hesitating. He could also had taken an active choice to go home.
At dinner he was more than happy that he choose to be with us. He, 17 years old, got some new friends. They liked each other and wanted to see each other again. ”Filip, you have to come to SouthKorea”, they said. ”Of course”, Filip answered.
Filip said it was a moment in his life, a step towards his dreams. Just because he choose to come, not wondering if it was going to be good or bad.

Leadership=not hesitating
How many times have we hesitated in our life about small choices? More thinking of, if it is good or bad. In fact nothing has happened. We have done nothing real, just wondering in our fantasy about a possible reaction of a possible choice that we did n´t make. When we act, do and live, things happen. Results that we then can consider to take a new step of act, do and live.

Live your life today=Do, act and live!
Because life is to take active choices based on what we want in our life, our dreams and vision. Life is about relations between people that gives the energy of ”PeopleMakePeopleGrow”. Leadership is about this. Your own with yourself and together with others.

We all need to have the feeling of security and belonging. It is printed in our DNA!

In one way, most of us, want to know in advance how tomorrow will look like. We want to feel safe about even tomorrow. Sometimes we worry about it, a lot. At the same time we logically know that we can´t. We all know is is not possible to control tomorrow. But still!

It is a paradox we are struggling with. We also seems to forget when life is lived. Logically we understand that I do not know what happens the next minute and sometimes we say: I will surely live my life to the full, when I am retired from work.

What would happen to your life if you embraced to let go of that feeling of control and enjoy the smile you meet, the hug you got or the hug you gave someone else? The YES you said to meet someone you haven´t met before. The meeting that totally changed your life to much more happiness? We all have those meetings, hugs and feelings. The ones you said YES to instead of saying ”NOT today, tomorrow”

What if,

  • You said more YES to a meeting then thinking I take the meeting ”tomorrow”?
  • You feel thankful and joyed of today, rather then saving the joy for tomorrow?

Leadership is to be true to yourself!

We all try to lead ourselves in a good way. But we are all afraid not to be good enough. Unfortunately our focus is often to be okey inte the eyes of others. Kind of strange though we know that you and I are not perfect. We all know that no one is perfect.

Sometimes, or maybe very often, we try to play a role that is not ourself. We play the role so that other people don ́t see that we are not perfect. Maybe we do that due to that we don ́t want to admit that to ourselves that we are not perfect.? But when we accept good and bad sides, magic happens.

Leadership starts with yourself! When I start to accept that I am not perfect and I say that ”I am okey . That I am always okey with myself.”. That reveales all obstacles.

It reveals the obstacles for us to get what we all want: good connections, togetherness, truthfullness, be trusted etc etc. It also creates engagement and empowers me, you and our relations.

Do you know anyone who doesnt ́ want engagement, empowerment, good relations with i.e. colleaugues? The engagement and empowerment that make you climb hills and reach goals? I think not! So what stops us? It seems that shame and fear are very strong obstacles, not to lead ourselves the way we want.

It is the fear of disconnection, that I am not worhty of connection. We fear not to be okey in the eyes of others. We feel so strongly some kind of shame that we won’t be okey.
We even don ́t like to talk about it.

But shame is just our own truth that ”I am not good enough” But when I let it go, and feel totally okey with myself, always, no matter what. Others will see me as more human.

To lead is to make us all lead ourselves So leadership is to create that feeling in all of us, that we are always okey. It means that we all see upon each others as okey as we are. It creates connection, engagement and empowerment.

That is why we call it co-leadership and not co-workers. Co-workers is the truth that someone has to lead others. It is the same truth as you are not good enough to lead yourself.

”To be the perfect” but no one is! We are all afraid that there are something about me that makes me not be liked of the others, so we try hard to hide it.

We have all the have the same experiences and want belonging, affinity and sympathy. We can all have it. It contain three ”C:s”; Coruage, Compassion and Connection

 

Courage means to show that you are living with your whole heart. Courage comes from the latin word ”cor” that means heart.. So it means ”the ones that have the courage to tell the wholehearted story of themselves. In others words it is okey NOT to be perfect and nd we like those who are truthful ,don ́t we?

They have the compassion to be nice to themselves and therfore to others. If you are not okey with yourself you most likely will see ad focus on others faults.

100% truthfull Connection starts also with being okey with yourself as you are. It all summons up to dare to be vulnerable!

In fact it means that you embraze and are totally okey with being vulnerable. Because then you will create more courage, compassion and connections to others.

  • You invest in a relationship wholehearted, that may or may not work out.
    Be WHOLEHEARTED
